Dogs in city parks

The city is seeking citizen input on the issue of dogs in the city parks and retention basins.

The release states:

The City of Mesa often receives inquiries as to why dogs are allowed in some Mesa parks and not allowed in others. Currently only on-leash dogs are allowed in designated parks and all retention basins. A subcommittee of the City of Mesa Parks and Recreation Board has been charged with exploring the issue and whether or not to revise the current rules. The Board's subcommittee needs park user input to help them in the decision making process and is asking all park users to take a short survey.
