Power Paws dogs at AZMNH in Mesa

Need somewhere to take the kids this Saturday?

At the Arizona Museum of Natural History Power Paws will be there kicking off National Dog Week. This will be the 8th Annual Service Dog Awareness Day. Power Paws dogs and their trainers will be at the museum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide demonstrations of their amazing abilities. The trainers for these special canines will be on hand to answer questions and
provide information about the Power Paws program.

Be careful with this program, we almost joined it last year.

In addition, local Girl Scouts will get the opportunity to work on earning a Disability Awareness Badge and meet some cute, cuddly companions at the same time. Girl Scout Day is being held Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. The cost is $6 per person. Pre-registration is required, contact Arizona Museum of Natural History Educational Services Coordinator Alice Jung at (480) 644-3553 or alice.jung@mesaaz.gov.
