Stargazing at Red Mountain Library

From the City of Mesa:

Reach for the stars on Wednesday, April. 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Red Mountain Library, 635 N. Power Rd., professional stargazers, Tony and Carol La Conte, will present a 40 minute interactive outdoor lecture on stargazing. This event is free and all participants will receive a free map of the night sky.

Bring your digital camera and take amazing photos right through the telescope lens. Participants will have the opportunity to view: Mars rising in the east, fleeting glimpse of Jupiter, the Great Orion Nebula, Andromeda Galaxy, star clusters, exploding stars and double stars.

In the event of inclement weather, the lecture will be a longer, interactive multimedia presentation. Wheelchair accessible telescopes will be available upon request. Please call (480) 644-3572 to reserve one. For more information visit http://www.mesalibrary.org.
