Do you have what it takes to be a civil air patrol pilot? Regardless of your age or gender there is a position for you. Find out how you can help by attending one of the workshops on Saturday, August 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mesa Public Library, 64 E. Main St., in the Saguaro Room.
Two workshops will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop includes aspects of the Civil Air Patrol history, how to serve as a Senior or as Young Cadet Members, Intro to Aerospace Education, Emergency Services, and Drug Awareness and Prevention. You can also test your flying skills with the flight simulator, which is open to all ages from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A traveling aerospace museum will be on display outside the Library that will showcase vintage uniforms, medals and other memorabilia dating back to the 1940’s.
