Citrus collection to benefit United Food Bank

The City of Mesa Neighborhood Outreach Office, in partnership with the United Food Bank, has scheduled three Saturdays for residents to drop off boxes of citrus as part of a gleaning program. If you have extra citrus you’d like to get rid of, here is an opportunity to donate it. All you need to do is pick your ripe citrus separating lemons, grapefruit and oranges; place them in a box or sturdy container and drop them off.

Please note that citrus will only be accepted between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon and only at the location specified for the following dates:

Saturday, Jan. 17
Dobson High School,
1501 W. Guadalupe Road (front parking lot)

Saturday, Jan. 31
Mountain View Park (enter off Adobe)
845 N. Lindsay Road

Saturday, Feb. 14
Gene Autry Park
4125 E. McKellips Road
